"2010 McMaster Innovators Award presented to John MacGregor", 17 June 2010:
For decades, Professor MacGregor has studied multivariate statistics technology at McMaster University, gaining many professional accolades. Over the years, industrial partners have sought out his lab for help in solving their thorniest problems, and MacGregor was an early leader in accepting sponsored research. MacGregor founded ProSensus Inc., a high tech company aimed at exploiting the multivariate analysis technology developed in his research group. ProSensus, which has an exclusive license with McMaster, currently employs a dozen full-time engineers, selling services and products to mainly Fortune 500 companies.

"John MacGregor honoured by the Royal Society of Canada", 17 July 2007:
John MacGregor, President of ProSensus, was honoured by the Royal Society of Canada for his pioneering research on latent variable modeling, adopted by businesses around the world, for its method of analysis, monitoring and quality control. His research in batch processes has been similarly influential, and has helped to define the field.
Founded in 1882, the Royal Society is Canada's oldest and most prestigious scholarly organization, and election to its membership is considered the highest honour among scholars, artists and scientists in Canada.
